How to be a successful media buyer?
People spend an average of two hours and 25 minutes per day on social media. SO, why don’t we make the best use out of it?
Personally, I’ve always been curious to learn how to be a media buyer to help me as a social media specialist achieve greater results for my clients. In the last 2 months, I’ve been trained to create social media ads on some platforms like Facebook and Instagram, to be honest, this experience has been so beneficial to me because it leads me to get to know my target audience more in terms of interests, preferences, wants and what actually they like.
Actually, media buying can only be learnt through practice because no matter how many courses you take you need to put the information that you learnt into action.
There’re a few tips that I’d recommend anyone who’d like to be a media buyer to know:
- Always refer to your client’s brief before creating your Ad.
- Always observe your client’s competitors in terms of types of Ads, initial results that are shown on their pages and what are their most preferred platform to create their Ads on.
- Stay up-to-date to what comes new in the Ads manager you use in order to get the most benefit from it.
- Always know that one Ad results can be totally different from another one so don’t judge a whole campaign from the results from Ad.
Leo Buscaglia once said that “Change is the end result of all true learning” so no matter how many times you fail to reach the results you dream of, you just need to keep trying because in a minute or another you’ll find yourself getting the results you wanted maybe better who knows!
